Party Like A Rockstar Limo Style?

Long Time No Post :-)) Well I've had some issues with my current place I've been taking classes from so I haven't been playing much guitar. But my buddy just bought his first Limo a Super Stretch H2 Hummer and WOW is it big and really made me think about partying like a rockstar so it seemed fitting to inculde it here. His portland oregon limousine service is the proud owner of the largest H2 Hummer Limo in a Oregon, so long it has dual axels in back. Ok next post will be about guitars I promise LOL

3rd Pentatonic Scale and getting better a Barre Chords

Class on Monday was really good we went over the 3rd Pentatonic Scale and I'm really getting a feel for them. I'm starting to improvise a bit with them and that is taking some getting used it as I've worked on fundamentals so much you get kind of stuck in a patern and now your trying to break free of that.
My Barre Chords are getting much much much better and he gave me a few more excersises to do. I'm getting really excited about learning them and seeing them come together. Getting past this will have a dramatic impact on playing guitar.
I'm still learning Baby, I'm gonna leave you. Here is a midi of it (not the best, but gives you feel for the guitar in it http://209.197.106.133/19580222/rock/ledzeppelin/BabeImGonnaLeaveYou.mid

Missed Class but got some confidance backing

Well my class schedule changed and I just didn't plan well for that so I had to cancel my class, but it is rescheduled for next week.
I was talking to this guitarist and showing what I've learned and what I've been learning and he was very impressed. He looked over some of my technique and he said I was right on track. So that felt good and boosted my confidence a bit more. He also gave me a strength exercise to do for Barre Chords.
Barre Chord are actually coming along for me. I can tell my strength is getting much better and my fingers are moving more smooth. I figure by next week I'll be able to play them with out much pain and play them well LOL well wish me luck on that.
That is about it for this post.

Penatonics and Led Zeppelin - Babe I'm Gonna Leave You

So Penatoics are cool for cranking out a simple self made songs. Today I was tired though so the lesson was kinda of a drag. Don't know if it is irony or what, but going through a tough time in my relationship and the song I'm learning to play "Led Zeppelin - Babe I'm Gonna Leave You", sigh. Nice guitar song though. My instructor keeps trying to hint to me to get an electric guitar. But I want to learn 1st on acoustic cause then I can play anything any where. Well I'm pooped, so that is all for this post.

OUCH, really why do Barre Chords have to hurt so much

Well I've started to use barre chords, well not actually, because I still can't seem to press all 6 strings into the fret hard enough. I'm playing on an acoustic (Lower end, but nice Fender). From what I can tell it seems learning them is easy, it is just E shape on major, minor, and 7 plus the barre. Seems mostly just a strength thing. If anyone knows a secret to them that comes across this post please leave a comment.
